Omaha Gives! 2020

Omaha Gives! is an annual online celebration of giving in the Omaha- Council Bluffs area on Wednesday, May 20th.

Last year, we raised over $8,300 during Omaha Gives! to support specialized Parkinson’s exercise classes in Nebraska. 

This year we are raising funds for the teleconferencing equipment for the Parkinson’s Nebraska office to grow our online programming capabilities!

This equipment will allow us to provide innovative virtual services such as webinars, online support groups and exercise classes, and increase the number of Nebraskans we serve. It will also help to strengthen the statewide community by allowing us to more easily engage with community members all across Nebraska.

Omaha Gives! Incentives:

This year, the Omaha Community Foundation is giving us fun ways to earn more money during Omaha Gives! prizes:

  1. Scheduled giving prize: $1,000 will be awarded to the organization with most unique scheduled donations
  2. 48 Hourly Prizes: Two nonprofits will be randomly selected each hour to win an additional $1,000
  3. Unique Donor Prize: The top 5 nonprofits with the most unique donors within an 8-hour time period (midnight- 8am, 8am- 4pm, 4pm-12am) will win an additional $1,000
  4. Cheer Page Prizes: The top three Cheer Pages with the most unique donors will win an additional $1,000

Create a Cheer Page:

Use your voice and network to help raise money to help Parkinson’s programs go virtual by creating a Cheer Page!

A Cheer Page is your own, unique fundraising page that you can share with friends and family to raise money towards our Omaha Gives! campaign. Share your Parkinson’s journey and why you support Parkinson’s Nebraska. Prizes will go to the three most success Cheer Pages, and all money you raised is eligible to be matched by our board!

Double Your Impact:

Our board is committed to our mission, and to prove it they are going to match the first $1,000 in donations to our Omaha Gives! campaign! This includes scheduled donations and Cheer Pages!
